Last month I volunteered my services to the annual Hedge Funds Cares event held at the Boston Children’s Museum. Hedge Funds Cares is an international charity, supported largely by the hedge fund industry, whose sole mission is preventing and treating child abuse. Since 1998, they have awarded over 800 grants totaling $40 million. The Boston fundraising event uses a silent auction to help raise money with items ranging from sports memorabilia to vacations in the Bahamas. This was the third year I have photographed the event.
Sen. Scott Brown was honored at the Boston event for his courage earlier this year in sharing his own experience regarding abuse as a child. Brown’s special assistant Jennifer Franks was on hand to receive the award from Hedge Funds Cares founder Rob Davis.
