Kimberely & Dennis | Wedding | Boston Public Library | Hopple Popple

The phrase “takes the cake” really comes to mind when I discuss Kimberely and Dennis’s wedding at the Boston Public Library. All the ingredients were in place to make this one memorable event. A phenomenal event planning company, venue, lighting, ect, but the secret ingredient that will keep guests talking about this wedding for likely the rest of their lives was… Cirque du Soleil. Yes, that is right my blog faithful, Cirque du Soleil performed for the dinner time entertainment! The shocked looked on guests faces as the performers entered Bates Hall during the dinner hour was nothing short of priceless. And as a photographer privileged to be mingling amongst the guests throughout the evening really allowed me to hear the chatter of amazement.  And even a few cell phone calls to friends to say “you can’t believe the wedding I am at right now!”

Old South Church | Govenor Deval Patrick | Inauguration Day

This morning I had the privledge of photographing an interfaith service at Old South Church in Copley Square which kicked off Governor Deval Patrick’s second inauguration. The church was packed with nearly every major faith being represented. The sermon was said by former WBZ anchor Liz Walker (now Reverand at Bethel A.M.E. Church in JP. Right after the service Patrick went on to his swearing in on Beacon Hill.

Courtney & Ryan | Wedding | InterContinental Boston | Michele Mottola

I don’t even know where to begin to write about this wedding. Super Fun Extravagance is a good place to start.  And the B&G, super chill… to the Max!

I have done many InterContinental Boston Weddings before, but to walk into the room and be utterly stunned by the transformation was an incredible feeling. AJ Rose came in and laid something like 10,000 sqft of new white carpeting (just for the evening of course) as well as a dark wood dance floor. Three unbelievable crystal chandeliers adorned the bar and from what I heard, were hand strung and hung with aircraft wire just to support their weight. Kudos to Suzanne B. Lowell Lighting for this feat and for her stunning lighting work that evening. The furniture, the flowers, the music, etc, not one detail was left looking for success… and you can thank the planner Michele Mottola for this truly whopper of a wedding.

And last but not least, Courtney & Ryan, LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
